Board Candidate Filing for April 2021 Ballot

The Charleston R-I School District encourages qualified persons interested in running for a position on the Charleston R-I School Board, to file to be a candidate in the April 6, 2021 election.

There are two (2) positions available, each with three-year terms.

Interested persons may file in person at Central Office located at 311 E. Tom Brown Street (A.D. Simpson Building), Charleston, MO. The names of qualified candidates shall be placed on the ballot in order of filing.
 
Candidates must wear masks and observe district infection control rules in force at the time of filing.
 
Filing will begin on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at 8:00 a.m. and will continue during the district’s regular business hours, which are Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Please note that these hours are subject to change.

Filing will not occur on days that the school district's Central Office is closed due to inclement weather or other health-related reasons. The district may not open even on the first and/or last day of filing if weather or health conditions make it unsafe for school staff to be available.
 
Filing will also not occur on the following days when the school district’s offices are closed
for holidays and breaks:
 
     December 21, 2020 - January 1, 2021
     January 18, 2021
 
Filing will end on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m.
