The Charleston R-I School District seeks statements of qualifications and proposals from qualified companies to identify and implement energy conservation measures and selected capital improvements that reduce utility consumption, operations costs, maintenance costs and to improve facilities through building infrastructure and system enhancements.
School leaders are continuing to make strides to support the needs of Charleston R-I students.
Charleston R-I families may be eligible for the FCC Emergency Broadband Benefit. Enrollment begins on May 12, 2021.
Tonight's Outdoor Movie Night at the Football Field (4/9) has been cancelled due to weather.
After a year of social distancing, Charleston R-I Schools is holding its first family night event since COVID. Outdoor Movie Night at the Football Field will be held on Friday, April 9, 2021. Gates open at 5:00pm, and the movie starts at dusk. Community welcome, including neighboring districts.
Several Charleston leaders recently met with Sheila Branch, Project Director for Alive and Well Communities, to explore ways they can work together to address the impact of trauma and toxic stress in our community.
Warren E. Hearnes Elementary School will soon receive new playground equipment, including some pieces that are inclusive.
The Charleston R-I Board of Education voted to increase the pay of substitute teachers during their February regular meeting.
