Charleston R-I School District held their first day of back to school teacher workshops at the Clara Drinkwater Newnam Auditorium. Superintendent Dr. Tammy Lupardus addressed faculty and staff, stating that all school employees, "irrespective of position," play an important part in the education process.
Educators completed mandatory staff training and heard from Charleston Teacher Association (CTA), the Professional Development Committee (PDC), and Sikeston Credit Union.
Lunch was provided by OPAA! Food Services - Catrina Woodworth, and snacks were provided by the Charleston R-I Central Office. School starts for Charleston R-I students on Wednesday, August 15.
