Charleston R-I School District continues to offer two instructional modes for 3rd Quarter 2021.
The two instructional modes are:
1.) 100% In-Person Instruction, 5 days per week,
2.) JaysAway 100% virtual, at-home instruction (application required).

CHROMEBOOK INSURANCE
Students using school-issued devices (i.e. Chromebooks) must enroll in One2One Insurance.
The One2One Insurance website is: https://www.one2onerisk.com/
When registering with One2One you will be prompted to submit a $30 fee for each student (max of $90 per family). Online payments using a debit/credit card or electronic check are available. Families needing to pay using cash will need to contact the building office.

Charleston R-I Board Votes to Return to 5 Day In-Person Instruction for 2nd Quarter; JaysAway 100% Virtual Instruction Still Available
During a special meeting on October 8, the Charleston R-I Board of Education voted 5-2 in favor of returning to 100% In-Person instruction, 5 days per week beginning in the 2nd Quarter. 1.) Blended A/B in-person schedule, 2 days per week plus every other Friday
2.) JaysAway 100% virtual, at-home instruction (application required).
Instructional Modes Announced
On Tuesday, August 18, Charleston R-I School District sent out a SchoolMessenger email and SMS text which included information about student instructional modes (Group A/B, JaysAway). Parents should check their email to view their child's instructional mode. All parents will additionally receive official notification of their child's instructional mode in the mail.
FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL
For Group A and JaysAway students, the first day of school will be Wednesday, August 26, 2020. The first day of school for Group B students will be Thursday, August 27, 2020. Friday, August 28 will be a Group A day.
For Group A and JaysAway students, the first day of school will be Wednesday, August 26, 2020. The first day of school for Group B students will be Thursday, August 27, 2020. Friday, August 28 will be a Group A day.

- Chromebook Pickup Day 1: Wednesday, August 19, 2020, from 9:00am to 3:00pm
- Chromebook Pickup Day 2: Thursday, August 20, 2020, from 9:00am to 3:00pm
These dates are ONLY for JaysAway students; Blended A/B students will receive their Chromebooks at another time.

Online registration for Charleston R-I School District is now OPEN! This registration is for ALL students, including JaysAway Virtual learners and Blended A/B in-person learners.

RETURNING FAMILIES
All returning families will need to log into their Parent Portal account, found here:
Are you a returning family without a Parent Portal login? Complete the Parent Portal Agreement form below, or contact your child's school for technical support:
Once you are logged in, a yellow banner across the top of the Parent Portal dashboard will read "Online Registration must be completed for 20-21." Click on "View" to get started.

Facebook Live Q&A
On August 3, 2020, a Facebook Live Q&A was held to answer questions about the Re-Entry Plan 2020. Parents, staff, and students previously submitted questions via a Google Form.
